Any Flavor Cake Mix

Any boxed cake mix can be baked in a mason jar.

Make sure that you wash the jars out with soapy water and you let them dry to room temperature.

Follow the directions on the cake box mix the batter up  and add the mix to the size jar you want to make.

Make sure you grease the jar before you pour the batter in to the jar.

Make sure you don't over fill the jar and make sure that you wipe the rim of the jar before you place it in the oven.

Bake at 325 for about 40 minutes or till the cake tests done.

When your cakes are done take them out of the oven and place the lids on tightly make sure you have heavy pot holders to handle the jars with  after you place the lid on the jar put the jar on a  cooling rack and let them cool completely.. You will hear a pinging sound when the cakes have sealed them self's if you miss the pinging then when the cakes are completely cool you can push on the top of the lid and make sure the lid is solid.

You can freeze the jars for 6 months or put them in the closet up to a year  like you would something you have canned. Once you open a jar place it in the frig for up to 2 weeks.

Decorate your jar and attach a gift card to the jar: Tie your baggie of frosting tight with a piece of ribbon and then add a ribbon around the jar and tie it .
