Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 packet butter buds, made into liquid
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 cup sifted whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 package (6 oz.) chocolate chips
2 cups 40% bran flakes

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray 2 cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray. In large
mixing bowl, combine butter buds, oil, and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Mix dry
ingredients; add to creamed mixture. Stir in chocolate chips and cereal. Drop by rounded
teaspoons onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes. Remove cookies immediately to
cooling racks.
