Apple Filling
1/2 cup sugar
3 large tart raw apples, grated
1 egg
dash of salt
juice of 1 lemon

Peel apples and remove seeds. Place
apples in food processor on "grate" speed. Mix all ingredients well along with
the grated apples. Cook in a double boiler until thick. Cool and spread between white or
spice cake layers.
Enough for one 9" cake.
