Ok ladies, we are all set with the details for the Nick Lodge class. The class
will be Thursday February 10th from 9:30am-1:00pm at Nick's shop. The class will
be on the rose and rosebud. The cost of the class is $50.00. Scott will be
serving us lunch as well, a more than special treat! Nick has graciously taken
time out of his booked schedule to do this special class just for us Ladycakers!
The rest of the DOS schedule will be posted at a later time. We need to get at
least 12, no more than 16 secured spots for this class. I will need to have all
money's for this class received by Nov. 19th 2004. HiD and I have discussed
this, and we both agree the best way to be fair on this issue is as follows: The
women who first posted on the original post that they were interested get first
dabs at this class...dont worry.. I have you all
written down! You (the first group) women have until Nov. 12th to get me your
money to secure your spot for this class and DOS. After the 12th I will post how
many remaining spots we have open...those spots will be first come first
serve....the remaining ladies will have 1 WEEK until Nov. 19th to get your
payment in to secure the spot. I would like for the first group that posted
interest to please post on here again that you will be securing a spot so that I
can send you mailing information. The reason the number dropped from 20-16 was
because of the lunch facility...which can only hold 16. Ladies please let me
know ASAP on your decision. I have to make full payment by NOV. 20th 2004!!
As I said above, we will be posting the entire schedule for the DOS at a later
date. We are working on the best hotel rates, and conference room rates. We are
also trying to line up demos from Ladycakers.. so If
you are interested in doing a demo, please contact either myself or HiD.

Hotel Information
I just got back from
Best Western. I have found out that the rooms do NOT have queen beds, they are
doubles . Also, they cannot guarantee availability for the king sized
beds (they don't have very many of them). So, if any of this changes your mind
as to where we stay, let me know. I did look at the rooms and the ones that I
saw had new carpet, did not have that funky hotel smell and were in nice
condition. I would not have a problem staying there and I can be a hotel snob!
There was also a frig and small microwave included in the room.
That being said....the reservations are being held for you. All you have to do
is call regarding the rooms on February 9-12th 2005
which are being held for Ladycakes (or under Heidi Glover) and reserve your
own room. They will attempt to put us all as close together as possible. The two
double rooms should be adjoining. The number to call is 770-474-8771 and
it is the Best Western in Stockbridge, Ga off of Hwy. 138 (it's
the only one here in town). The rate that they are giving us is $49.95 + tax.
I did get to look at the conference room too and it's plenty big enough. Now, if
I can just get that woman to call me back!

Angie came up with the idea of eating lunch & dinner in the conference room in
order to give us more time. We will leave this up to general consensus and how
we feel at the time.
I know,
I know....I'm killin ya aren't I Vic! ROFL!
We will be providing lunch stuff so that we will not have to leave the site for
that at least (finger sandwiches, meat tray, etc). If you have a drink
preference, tell me now or be happy with what I choose!
The
conference room provides coffee and water.

10 disposible or parchment bags (you
probably won't need all of them but we aren't sure yet how many you will be
using) (you can bring feather weight but for the royal we need NEW, never used
bags)
Tips #10, 12, 103, 104, 97, 98, 21, 1,2, 3 Plus any you have questions on
Spatula angled are best NOT tapered
Flower nail
Wax paper
Paper towels
Powdered sugar small bag is good
Gumpaste tools
Small ziplock/gladware bowls 1-2 of them
Piping gel
Petal dusts or luster dusts (whatever color you have 1-2) …pearl dust is a good
one to bring
Camera...if you want to
Cake Dummy OR real cake (we will be icing a cake with buttercream and everyone
who wants to bring a real cake and buttercream can do this with us)
Fondant for molding and/or covering a cake (you can cover the dummy cake or real
cake that you brought with fondant, if you want to keep your cake for display
you should use the dummy cake WITHOUT buttercream on it)

Sweetex© high ratio shortening to Atlanta. If you would like to use it in your

bringing some containers to send some home with you if you would like to take
some home to work with.
Since everyone is driving or flying in except for Heidi, Angie & Shelly I will
bring a box of goodies so you have less to pack. The girls and I are delighted

class**SCHEDULE FOR THURSDAY***
Ladies, We are on a very tight schedule for Thursday's
class at Nic's. Here is the time schedule and it is concrete!!!
If you are staying in the hotel....
You must be ready to leave--(that means in the lobby or outside loading the
vehicles NO LATER than 7:00 AM!! )
Vehicles will be leaving the hotel no later that 7:15!
The traffic in Atlanta is very hectic during these times and every second is
crucial.
Must be at Nic's by 9:00 am sharp!!!
If you are driving up and meeting us at Nic's you must be at the shop by 9:00am
sharp. Nic will start the class without you and if you are not there when the
doors close you will NOT embarrass me with a late arrival...I am not trying to
be mean or rude but I have been planning this class for months and Nic has taken
time out of his schedule to give us this honor...PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE BE ON
TIME!!
The class is over at 1:00pm we will then eat lunch and hang out with Nic and
Scott in the gallery. Cant wait to see you all!!! DONT BE LATE>>>LOL
