I’m a native Floridian and have lived in Miami all off my life.  This melting pot city has given me a lot of exposure to different cultural culinary experiences.  My favorite experience is desserts and of course cake decorating.  I baked my first cake at the age of 8 but I’ve been decorating cakes since 2003 and wish that I would have discovered this art a lot sooner.  I have no formal training in cake decorating, I’ve taken a couple of classes at my local cake shop with a very talented instructor, but the majority of what I have learned has been self taught from the internet, books and on line forums.  When I first stumbled across Ladycakes I had no idea what half of this stuff was and now I’ve grown to a comfort and skill level that has allowed me to take on bigger challenges such as Wedding cakes and unique custom cakes, something I though I would never have the nerve to do!

I’m new at writing articles and hope that I give new cake decorators the inspiration to try something new and challenging.   I haven’t been doing this very long by industry standards but I absolutely love what I do and want to share everything I know.   Feel free to PM me with any questions you have, I’m here mostly everyday checking in on everything that’s being created.
