The Daisy


What
you need:
gum
paste
egg
white or edible glue
yellow paste color
apple green dust color
24 g
wire
Floral tape
Daisy cutter
Foam
pad
Rolling pin
Ball
tool
Needle tool
Tulle

Roll a little ball with yellow gum paste.
Imprint with tulle
Insert a hooked wire brushed with egg white or edible glue

Insert in styrofoam to dry and let set for 24 hours
Dust
base with yellow and apple green

Roll
out white dough and cut with daisy cutter
Repeat for the second row
Take
one (cover the other with a plastic bag) and thin petals using ball tool
Mark
2 indentation on each petal with needle tool or a toothpick
Repeat with the second row

Brush center of first row of petals with egg white. Put the second row on the
first, as shown in the picture. Rotate slightly the petals so that the upper
petal rest on the space between two petals of the first row
Brush again centre with egg white
Take
the dried yellow ball and insert wire in the middle of both petal rows, turn
upside down and press against the base of the ball

Cover a glass with aluminium foil and insert daisy to dry for about 24 hours

Finished daisy

For
a more realistic bouquet, make a few open daisies and a few half closed…
Just
hang them and let them dry upside down.
