I love your site! I grew up with my Dad being a baker and never took an interest. But
now 40+ years later, I've finally learned how to do all that magical decorating stuff. I
love the photo area of cakes, but did anyone ever get a cupcake section going? I couldn't
follow the thread? By the way, I have an old WWII "Wacky Cake" recipe that is a

I have been baking for about one year now. I'm getting ready to do my first tier

I really like your website and I have already used one of the recipes on it. I was
wondering if I could ask a question here as well. Maybe someone can help me. My cakes
never puff up much. I have checked my oven and it is calibrated correctly and I don't put
the cake in until it is preheated. However, my cakes never rise up and get that nice mound
on top and they take very long to cook. Also, by the time the middle is cooked, the edges
are crusty. My cakes always fall in the middle after they come out. ANy suggestions? Thank

I am presently working as an administrative assistant in a corporate office. I'm a
grandmother of 3, mother of 3 and have been baking since I was a teenager. I have catered
some small weddings (on the weekend) and make birthday cakes for my family and friends. My
company is being sold and I don't want to work in an office any longer. I want to make
wedding cakes. I have had one Wilton course and I feel that I really need more

Hi, I am going to try the royal icing recipe. I live in a very humid area and my royal
icing is always so hard to work with. I think the cream of tartar will help! Thanks! Also,

I love making cakes & frostings, and decorating too. Problem is I like eating them
too much. I absolutely LOVE your Diabetic sections! They help my tummy, and my diabetic
grandmother, and also a friend. What a great idea! Now you just need to come up with
dairy-free and diabetic so both my mother & grandmother can eat them!

I am getting back into cake baking. My daughter's wedding is coming up and I need to
bake cakes for 600 guests. Any suggestions on how to do this? Love your website,

I'd like to get back into cake decorating, as the hobby it once was. Had to put it down
for 10 years, or more, while we were busy team driving Long Haul. My pans are all packed
up, but I had more than whould fit on shelves in a converted coat closet. It would be a
shame for them to go to waste. I found the website while looking for Whipped Icing
recipes. I'm sure I'll be back. The Wilton Yearbook used to have lots more design ideas
than this current one.

Very informative site. I love all the recipes and they are a big help for me
I was glad to see your sight. Will you be adding pictures? I thought you might be
interested in the variation to the Texas Sheet cake. Omit cocoa, cinnamon and vanilla.
Replace with 1 teaspoon pure almond extract. Make the same change in the frosting. The
cake is best the next day.
I found the cake and icing charts extremely useful when preparing wedding cakes.
I was giving up hope of becoming a good cake baker, until I came across your website!IT
