Southern Pecan Praline

1 butter pecan cake mix
1 16 oz. container coconut pecan frosting
4 eggs
3/4 cups oil
3/4 cup water
1 cup pecans, chopped
 

Praline Sauce
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup light cream
3 tablespoons butter
 


 

 Preheat oven to 350'. Spray bundt pan with non stick spray. Combine all ingredients until well mixed. Reserve 1/2 nuts. Pour into pan and sprinkle with other 1/2 nuts. Bake for about 50 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.
 

Praline Sauce:
Cook over medium-high heat until boiling; stir constantly to dissolve sugars. Reduce heat. Cook and stir 5 minutes more or until slightly thickened. Stir in 1/2 cup chopped pecans. Serve warm.
I hope this helps. You might be able to do it in a pan other than the one called for. If it has to be flipped out onto a board, be careful.

This sauce will run.

 

Can't Find praline cake mix??

I take a white or yellow cake mix and crush pecans in the food processor and add them in addition to the chopped nuts, also a little Wilton butter flavoring to the mix won't hurt.
